30th May - 80th Anniversary Dinner Dance
The Dinner Dance has been and gone for another year, thanks as always to the trustees for sponsoring the event and to all who turned up to celebrate our 80th Anniversary. I haven't seen any photos as yet but I'll post any that I get hold of.
Bridport Tour 8th - 10th May 2009
We bid a fond farewell to Bridport (until next time that is), great fun and a good turnout to see our anniversary season off in style. Thanks to the Social Committee, everyone who turned up, Bridport RFC for hosting us and to our long suffering landlords and coach driver who had to clean up afterwards....hic!

22nd November 2008 - Wandsworthians Old Lags Lunch
A good time was had by all, shame about the result of the England vs. South Africa game (42 - 6 in case you blocked it out) but for the Saffa's present I'm sure they had a great day...thanks to the Trustees for once again hosting this annual event.
20th September 2008 - Dubs memorial tag rugby competition and family fun day
Saturday's event was a great success and a fantastic social day for players, family and friends alike. Seventeen players took part, making up four teams, that played in a pool with a winners and runners up final. There was some great rugby on display, and many of the support skills that we have been practising at training were evident. Some fine running and some high scores, along with a very sunny and warm day made for a perfect Saturday afternoon. All of our coaches played, along with our club sponsors, Rugger Luggers, and all of the club captains and officials, plus many more players. We all had around 60 minutes of rugby which at times was very fast and open. Another 15 or so friends and family watching on formed a nice group for the BBQ afterwards. The team named as "Norfolk and Chance" were the eventual winners of the day.
Once the games were over, our shower session was accompanied by a nice bottle of Ruby Port, and then it was food and drink from then on in. A great feast of sausages, chicken kebabs, and spiced pork steaks, accompanied by various salads, and washed down with ale was a delightful way to end the day.
The raffle (Prizes donated by the committee and the Elm Tree pub), raised about £25.00 towards the tour fund. The bottle of Scotch, won by Mr Cooper, was promptly opened and the social graces of sharing the bottle was once again enacted (big mistake for us non Scotch drinkers!!).
Look out for the photos on Facebook!!
All agreed that this was a good social and sporting event and it is hoped that we can run a similar event towards the end of the season. This is our 80th anniversary season and there will be many more socials placed on the calender. But each event is only as successful as attendees want to make it. The more attendees, the better the chance of a great event.
Touch Rugby
Rob Tindall's mighty Dubs touch rugby team finished a very proud 3rd. Thank you very much Rob and same again next year.
If anybody would like to take part in a touch rugby tournament then go on their web site and have a look at what's available. Also, if you need players, then I'm sure a few super fit and highly skilled Dubs would be interested. (please contact us if this is the case)

10th May 2008 - End of Season BBQ
The Club Game (2pm kick-off) and AGM (4pm) was followed by a very enjoyable Saffa-style BBQ, many thanks to all those who turned out and to everyone who volunteered to do the excellent food. We've all learned some new Afrikaans swear words which we hope to never hear repeated on a rugby pitch! More event pictures are on our picture gallery or on Facebook courtesy of Michell Vermuelen.
26th April 2008 - Club Dinner Dance - Imber Court
The Dinner Dance has been and gone for another year, many thanks to all who attended and made it a success, to Denise for organising it and last but not least the Trustees for making it possible.
