Game 1
Vale U8s 35 Fylde U8s 10
The First game was a good looking Fylde team who travelled with a large
squad full of confidence.
They drew first blood as the Vale side looked as if they were stiil in bed.
This only stirred the Vale team into action and soon replied through Stan
Rich with a try from some good open play.
The half time whistle went and some stern words from the coaches resulted
in a text book second half tries run in
from Nathan (2) M Clay(1),M Lynch(1) and the Try of the Day from Sam Gray
which started on the Vales own line
S Rich broke supported by M Clay and scored in the corner by S Gray just
showing how to turn defence into attack.
The Game was won and a great start to the day 7 tries to 2.
Game 2
Vale U8s 30 Fylde U8s 25
The next game saw changes to the team allowing some great squad rotation
and allowing all the players
to get involved . Over the last few weeks this also shows the strength in
the squad as the results are the same.
Strong running again by George Mason and S Gray was causing problems in the
Fylde ranks but to there
credit this was not all one way as the broke at every oppurtunity scoring
some great tries from deep.
Joseph Atkinson again this week showing the game is about confidence and
belief scoring 2 tries.
Marcus Duffy and Steven Fisher joining the party with a try each with game
going end to end.
The Vale stood firm resulting with a win with further tries from G Mason
and S Gray 6 tries to 5.
Game 3
Vale U8s 35 Fylde u8s 15
Last but not least the third game saw the Vale again mixing the team with
the same effect with some great
tackling on there own line and turning this into attack in flash with tries
from Stan Rich (2) Sam Gray (1).
Nathan again keeping up some good form along with S Fisher,M Lynch, going
over for tries.
Again the plucky Fylde team had some good pressure resulting in tries late
in the game.
J Atkinson scored again giving him a good return for the day and the Vale
won 7 tries to 3.
All in All a great all round team performance leaving the Vale side
marching on.
