Game 1
Vale 25 Waterloo 15
The first group game saw the Vale take on Waterloo and needing a good start
to the Tournament
the Vale team duly obliged with a strong performance B Blackburn (2) S
Rich(1) E Robertson(1)
and M Clay (1) scoring the tries running out winners 5 tries to 3.
Game 2
Vale 45 Warrington 30
This was a match with last years finalists and the Vale looking for revenge
for that defeat.
They didnt disappoint the crowd with a Masterclass performance Sam Gray
opened his
account for the day with a great effort in the corner.Stan Rich was now in
full flow along
with Ben Blackburn with some great tries from long range when they looked
in danger
of conceding they changed defence into attack in a flash.
Ethan Robertson added another try with some gritty determined running.

Game 3
Vale 20 Fleetwood 15
The last group game with Fleetwood was a great game very close to call.
After a early wake up call with Fleetwood scoring and a few words from the
coach
The Vale side stepped on the gas the Vale squad was showing its strength
with
S Fisher and M Cole making some great runs along with Nathan.
tries from Rich (2)Robertson (1)Blackburn (1) gave the Vale a win 4 Tries
to 3.
Semi Final
Vale 40 Preston GH 20
With maximum points from the group stage the Vale went into the Semi-Final
against
the hosts Preston full of confidence and now looked hungry for silverware.
Morgan Lynch stepped up to the mark with 2 great tries resulting from great
team play.
George Mason also was full of running and helped to set up tries for Clay
(3) Blackburn (2).
Dan Clare also had a great day in attack and defence setting up Rich (1).
Final
Vale 30 Blackburn 20
This was the climax to a great day of rugby against a Blackburn side also
full of confidence.
B Blackburn scoring (3) S Rich (1)M Lynch (1),M Clay(1) but all this after
some great end to
end rugby and every Vale player should take credit from this as they all
played their part
in a great performance resulting in the Vale winning 6 tries to 4 and
winning the elusive Trophy.
Celebrations after the Game involving Players and Parents capped of a great
day .
