Worcester Students Charity Work
Worcester Students Rugby has been undertaking a lot of charity work this year. We hav organised a number of events to raise money including a fundraising Varsity Match versus Bimingham University. Other events organised were a bbq and a raffle.
We have also donated kit to SOS IRB kit aid. This kit is to be worn in countries that are in poverty and lacking kit, our kit is believed to be going to Moldova.

The chosen charity that Worcester Students Rugby support is the Acorns Childrens Hospice. They have ten beds available to children whose parents/carers need some rest. The criteria needed for a child to stay here is a life limitation of no older than 18/19. Each child needs almost 3 to 1 care and each room costs £450 a day to run, this means that it costs £4500 a day for the centre to be open but they can only afford to open one at the moment due to a lack of funds.
Worcester Students Rugby donated £500 which is only a drop in the ocean but its donations like these that help the centre to run on a daily basis.
