Dear Clubs,
Congratulations to all teams who have made it through to Finals Day.
Below you will find details of the draw.
May I remind clubs that they will still need to supply a referee for the semi-final stage AT LEAST. If your club are fortunate to have extra refs then please encourage them to come along and offer their services. We cannot run this event without referees and we would appreciate clubs’ help and co-operation.
IMPORTANT: Apart from the first match, all timings shown are generous, allowing for the possibility of extra time at each stage, which can be as much as 12 minutes. Teams should, however, be ready to play as soon as the preceding game on their pitch has finished. This will enable us to get through the days events as smoothly as possible.
Rules on deciding matches:
· If a match ends as a draw at the end of normal time, then 5 mins of extra time will be played, with the first score winning the game (golden try).
· If teams are still level at the end of extra time then coaches will remove 2 players from the team (U10 / U11 two backs, U12 No8 & Back) and up to a further 5 mins extra time will be played until the first score.
· If the score still remains level then team coaches will toss a coin – with the team travelling the furthest “calling”.
· In the Finals of each competition the above rules will be followed with the exception that there will be no toss of the coin, but rather the Final trophy will be shared between the two clubs.
We hope you and your young players thoroughly enjoy the Festival Finals Day.
Best Wishes
