HISTORY OF THE GROUND
For a number of years the Pewsey Sports Council tried to find an area of land to accommodate local outdoor sports clubs with no home playing pitches or facilities of their own in Pewsey. In August 2003 Pewsey Parish Council purchased the horses field opposite the old hospital football pitch in Wilcot Road. This was purchased from the Yeates family and the ground named in memory of Angela. Members of Pewsey Parish Council, Pewsey Vale Rugby Club and Pewsey Saints football club cleaned up the ground and a change of use was applied. This was duly received which allowed it to become a recreation ground.
TODAY
Pewsey Vale Rugby Club have been playing at the ground for over two years, with the 1st XV, Alfred's XV, Under 15s and Under 18s playing and training at the ground. Pewsey Saints Sunday football club have received a grant to level and grass their part of the ground and will be playing matches during the 2006/07 season. There are changing rooms, showers and toilets at the ground, training lights are available for winter evenings and plans are taking shape for a brick built pavilion.
