NK receive the RFU Seal of Approval - First in NLD

NORTH KESTEVEN GRANTED THE RFU SEAL OF APPROVAL AND SPORT ENGLAND CLUBMARK - THE FIRST IN NLD
North Kesteven have become the first club within Notts/Lincs/Derby RFU to receive the RFU Seal Of Approval and Sport England Clubmark Accreditation.
This is the culmination of eighteen months of hard work by the club's development officers to reach the required standards in providing a safe quality environment for the youth team players at the club.
Area's of club activity examined were the playing programme, club management, equity and ethics and finally duty of care and child protection.
The club were presented with the awards on the 4th March in front of 600 invited guests at the Lawn Visitor Centre in Lincoln at the reception forming part of the NLD leg of The Sweet Chariot Tour.

The club hope to build on the awards and provide more rugby opportunities for the youth of North Hykeham and the surrounding areas.
In fact plans are already in place to start an under 12/13 boys team for the start of the 2004/5 playing season.

Seal of Approval (Touchline article)

North Kesteven have become the first club in Notts, Lincs and Derbyshire to achieve the prestigious RFU Seal of Approval. Based at North Hykeham near Lincoln, the club has a flourishing youth section, which includes a girls' rugby set up.
They were presented with their Seal of Approval certificate by Francis Baron, the RFU's chief executive, at a reception at the Lawn Centre in Lincoln during the Notts, Lincs and Derbyshire leg of the Sweet Chariot Tour (pictured).
