There will be one set of combined trials for School of Rugby and Club Middlesex sides - players graded based upon their performance, potential and development needs - 3 different School of Rugby groups - ‘Emerging’, ‘Saxons’ and ‘Rose’ (‘Rose’ being the top group) at the conclusion of the School of Rugby curriculum the ‘Saxons’ and ‘Rose’ groups come together to form the Club Middlesex team.
The head coaches of the SoR ‘Rose’ and ‘Saxons’ player development groups will come together to coach the County team for their fixtures in that age group to ensure continuity and good knowledge of the players strengths and development needs.
The coaching appointments will be screened, assessed and interviewed by Bob Lawless - Middlesex, Tony Robinson - RFU and Chris Lloyd – London Wasps. Our recommendations for each appointment will then go forward be ratified by the Chair of the Middlesex Youth RDP.
I have attached the coach education programme which we will be running for the coaches as that is key to the success and development of the programme and hence players. We want coaches involved that have the development of their coaching and their players development at the very core of their thinking.
