U18 Group

Curently the U18 XV is selected from those who are under 18 years of age on 1st January (unlike all younger ages which are based on 1st September). The RFU has announced its intention to revert to 1st September for U18s.
U19s development starts with the Lower Sixth or Year 11 at Christmas who enter U17 trials. Those successful in these trials train and play in two development fixtures at Easter time and then at the start of the next season form the squad to participate in graded inter-county fixtures. Those with good grades are then invited to Divisional trials aimed towards creating and England U1s.
