Busy women’s rugby schedule in North West
Women & Girls’ rugby in the North West has a hectic schedule for March starting on Friday (March 9) with a Sale Sharks Skills Clinic to be held at Cheadle Hulme School from 5-6.30pm.
This session is open to all girls, independent of skill levels, aged from 12 to 17, with the fee including a ticket for Sale v Worcester game later that evening at Edgeley Park.
On Sunday week (March 18) the North West Regional teams will be taking on the North East in Newcastle, with the Under 14s and Under 17s in action for the first time.
The assignment in the North East will stand the Under 17s in good stead for an international fixture three days later under the floodlights at Bury RFC (March 21, 7pm), when Port Moody, a team from Canada, will be stopping off in Lancashire.
The following day (March 22) brings a qualifying competition for an Emerging Schools Competition at Broughton Park RFC.
This year’s event kicks off in the North West with an invitation for schools who are interested to participate at Broughton Park. For details please contact Dave Livesey on 07734 255577.
