On their first game of the 125th Anniversary Canadian tour, Lancashire beat Canadian champions 'The Rock' 27 - 15 at St Johns in Newfoundland.
In a highly physical game the Lancashire defence was magnificent and the Red Rose pack took the game to the opposition, with Chris Planchant outstanding and strong support coming from Du Plessis, Rawlings ,Banks and Wilks. McCormick, Nutt and Payne were the pick of a spirited set of backs who were steadfast against The Rock attack.
