ADVANCE NOTICE...
For the third year in succession, the annual meeting of Lancashire's Junior Fixture Secretaries was said to be a great success.
Hosted at Bolton RUFC, with Aldwinians' Ian Spivey acting as the facilitator, 29 Lancashire Junior Fixture Secretaries swapped dates and filled their 2008/09 diaries.
The proposed date for the 2009/10 season is Monday, 5th January, 2009!

At the request of those attending the recent Mini Junior Open Forum, the newly-sponsored Lancashire Under 11s & 12s Mini Festival triangular matches will be played on designated days: Round One on 30th Nov 2008 and Round Two on 15th March 2009, with the County Festival completing the competition on Sunday, 19th April.
These arrangements are 'TBC'.
The Junior Competitions Committee has also been asked to consider introducing an Under 10s and Under 9s equivalent. Again, this is 'TBC'.

The Junior Pool will be back in September, but please continue to return to this page for announcements about the 2008/09 Blacksticks Blue Challenge, the Barclays Mini Festival competition for Under 11s & 12s, and the Under 14s Development Festival.

 As has been the case for many years, all Festivals organised by Clubs must be approved.
In Lancashire's case, application is made to the 7-16 Committee who consider the event on behalf of the RDP (Rugby Development Partnership).

The Lancashire website advertises teams looking for a Junior fixture from time-to-time.
Teams requesting a slot should email the usual Junior Challenge results' address: lancsrugby@aol.com
with contact name, email and phone number.
Other local 'Pool' contact numbers
There is no 'Mini' pool operating on the website.
The Colts fixture pool is accessed through the Halbro (formerly Lancs & Cheshire) Colts League website.
