Plate we have had to switch these two finals days.
The final of the Bowl Competition is now to be played at Tyldesley RUFC on Easter Monday, 9th April.

The game between Chorley and Ashton under Lyne was played as a double head league game on Saturday 10th March, Ashton Under Lyne winning 11 - 3.

BACKGROUND: The Lancashire Bowl, introduced in 2009/10 was named in honour of Alan Stone, a former Rugby Development Officer based in Manchester. Alan died some years ago, but is well-remembered as one of the pioneer 'YDOs', working in around the Aldwinians club and attaching his name to Lancashire's new competition is a fitting tribute to his outstanding work.

| 2008/09 Rules Review |
|
The Competitions Committee has announced that a review of Rule 8b, revised for 2008/09, would be further revised to:
"In the event of a club being unable to play a tie on the designated date, the Committee shall have the power to award the tie to their opponents."
This new form of words was presented to and approved by the Club Representatives attending June's County General Committee meeting.
