Lancashire 16 Group
After dominating the Northern Counties matches at the end of 2006, just two Lancashire players emerged from the England 16 Group selection process in International colours, James Williams (Lancaster Royal GS) and Daniel Hall (Hutton GS & Preston Grasshoppers).
Both Lancastrians have been names in the England 'A' squad, James Williams skippered the county side, playing at centre, whilst Daniel Hall (vice captain) was a major presence in the lineout throughout the five match programme.
With 13 players named in the North of England Final Trial, held just before Christmas, Lancashire enjoyed its highest representation since 2001/02.
