The next 7-16 Committee meeting has been rescheduled for Wednesday, 16th January 2012 at Preston Grasshoppers.
This will now be followed by the 2012 AGM and Open Forum on Thursday 26th January at Blackburn RUFC.
This meeting, to which all County Representatives at Junior Rugby level are invited, will include the draw for the knock out stage of The Blacksticks Blue Challenge.

Now that the RFU Youth Structured Season for 2011/12 has been published, discussions are under way to agree the competition dates and the County's Festival Finals days in 2012.
The schedule, adapted to accomodate Lancashire's Junior Challenge competition structure, will be put before the Rugby Development Partnership for agreement on Tuesday 21st December.

The new RFU Player Pathway & the RFU Youth Structured Season
The consequence of the adoption of the Player Pathway by the RFU Council in June 2010 and the subsequent publication (in December) of the RFU Structured Season is that the representative sides at Junior age grades have been greatly reduced in 2011/12.
The under 14s will have NO representative side, the Under 15s have three (including one on or around Easter Sunday), the Under 16s have only three (including one on or around New Years Day). In addition, the Under 18s have three matches (including one on or around Christmas Day).
Readers of the RFU Structured Season (above) should note an error in that Easter Sunday falls on Sunday 8th April, not 15th April.

Playing Overage Players
Concerns have been raised that clubs are playing matches against other clubs in which overage players are appearing. Clubs are agreeing to play 'friendly' matches against sides with older boys.
Coaches and/or Team Managers, and their Clubs, should consider their financial position should and injury occur in a match in which they have ignored the RFU regulations.
