FAIR PLAY CREDITS
a) Clubs should remember to tick the Match Report forms, noting the players used as replacements, to gain credit in the annual 'Fair Play' awards, for which credit is also given for written (email only) reports received and photographs taken and submitted.
b) Fair Play credits are also given for both sides playing TENS, or similar, to persuade sides not to conceed through lack of numbers.
PHOTOGRAPHIC & VIDEO PERMISSIONS
It is a condition of clubs joining the competition that all players have concented to photographic and video images being used to promote the competition, and the game generally. If any players/parents have refused permission, the Secretary should be advised as soon as possible.
PLAYER DISCIPLINE
Two incidents were reported after from Round One, both involving foul play apparently unseen by the referee, but in both cases clearly witnessed by spectators. Coaches have a responsibility to the game to deal with such players involved in what appear to be 'blatant' events, not dismissing the incident as being 'up to the referee'. Hiding behind a referee not seeing the incident is outside the ethos of this competition, and not welcome at this level. Coaches are doing both the development of players and the organisers of the competition a disservice.
ROPING OFF
Thank you to all clubs who took the trouble to rope off pitches in Round One. Judging by comments made during the day, this has been a well-received innovation of benefit to players and spectators alike. Please ensure Round 2 has at least as many ropes!
