Every penny helps as the RFU Injured Players Foundation provides help and support for both players and their families in the early months of a rugby injury, as well as in the long term.
This help takes many forms, from financial assistance for travel, accommodation and subsistence for family members immediately after the injury occurs, through to lifelong grants for building work and specialist equipment. In addition to this support, the charity takes a more active approach to conducting and supporting research and education aimed at preventing injuries; and identifying how injured players can be helped more effectively.
