A SMALL GROUP OF VULGARIANS ATTEND THE WAKE OF RECAUERDOS CAU RFC
Carlos Romero, one of the regular Old Vulgarian tourists, invited the Old Vulgarians to celebrate the winding up of his University Rugby Club in Madrid and a small band of intrepid travellers enjoyed his and his club's generous hospitality one weekend in May 2007.
After a reception at his home followed by a splendid dinner in one of the finest clubs in Madrid on Friday, playing rugby was the last thing on the OVs mind. However, honour determined that it had to be done and so tentative steps were taken onto the field in a match for the older and sedate participants much to the amusement of the OVs better halves. In true Golden Oldie style the score was irrelevant and the game certainly served to work up a thirst for the players and spectators at the final dinner after the match.
