1. Schools of Rugby Update
· All coaches have been nominated
· 26th April assessment evening for all coaches. 5-10min session for U13-U16 SoR
· Everyone who applied will be assessed- except 2 who do not coach 15-a-side game
· Before assessment Coach Co-ordinators will meet.
· Tasks for coaches will be set - Same process for the U17-U20s
· SoR syllabus not been sent through yet. Bulk of it has been done, just the frills that need to be finished off.
· Slight concern about SoR being put into practice, worry that some players may be given another avenue.
· We need to run SoR as directed by the RFU in the 1st year and then at the end make a review and assessment
2. County Coaches – 06/07 and 07/08
· KG – produced a PPP on ‘The Vision’ for next season.
· Not all coaches applications have been received, many arriving after the deadline has passed
3. Coach Education
· Next year’s Level I & II in final stages of organisation
· Tag courses building up
· AF to organise & set up ECC website in Essex Rugby website
· MR wants to push personal development of County Coaches
· Suggestion of a beyond Level I day course to by run by Committee coaches + guest coach
· London Divisional Conference @ Lensbury 23rd/24th June
· Need to convince Mike Hynard to send Saracens players to coach development evening
· 9th April Saracens A league game- County Coaches invited & will be given a task on the evenings game
4. Club Coach Coordinators
· Contact details slowly trickling in
· Need to put CCC on website
· CCC are coming back with lists of coaches and their qualifications for their clubs
· AF to do a sample webpage
5. Budget
· Budget has been dramatically reduced to £15000
· U17/18/20s no sole funding
· Saracens have asked for a day session with the players in SoR during the holidays
· Mick Eyres is the voice/link with Saracens
· Saracens threatening to pull the £3500 aid. Money used for physios- we provide them, but Saracens pay for them.
· There is money this season floating around to subside coaches on courses
· Next year’s budget being planned.
6. AOB
· KG – How do ECC help clubs find coaches and coaches find clubs? Aid, but not decide
