Update 18th December. Well done the Saxons on Tuesday – what an improvement in performance! You all picked up the pace immediately and gave 110% commitment. It was very satisfying from the coaching standpoint and I hope you all came off the field proud of yourselves.
As you are aware, a team of selectors attended the three district matches. Following deliberation, the players invited to the first two Dorset & Wilts Under 14 training sessions is now posted on the ‘County’ web page. The dates and venues for these are still to be confirmed but will probably take place on Friday evenings in January or February.
For those of you selected, very well done and I will see you in the New Year with my D&W hat on. For those of you who did not get through, we hope you have enjoyed tasting representative rugby, will have learned from the experience and will go back to your clubs better players for it.
Very good luck for next season, I can assure you that shape, size and mind will change rapidly in the intervening period!

Update 2nd December -
For those of you not selected, thank you for all the effort put in by yourselves and your parents over the past few months and please don’t think it’s the end of the world. Players change physically and mentally a lot in this age range and next season you may be a relatively different shape, size or be playing in a different position. We hope that you have gained from the experience and that it will improve your game back at club level.
For those selected, well done. What I now need from you is an email confirming your availability for the Solstice match this Friday 5th and for the match versus Spitfires U14s that will now be held at North Dorset RFC on Tuesday 16th December. Please note that this is a change in both date and venue but which we hope will be more convenient to you on both counts.
I will also require your current email address, home and mobile phone numbers and an emergency phone number. I need these as up to date as possible so that I can guarantee to contact you at short notice and in case of injury. So if you want to play, please respond pronto!
