Has your club got any County Cup Shields? We are still missing U14 and U16 Dorset and Wilts Shields, plus the U12, U14, U16 Wiltshire shields and the U12 Dorset Shield. Please let the organisers know if you have them.
All Shields awarded this year will be requested for return by Easter 2013 so they can be refurbished if needed.
2012/13 competitions will be launched at the CB conference June 17.

DORSET & WILTSHIRE RFU JUNIOR CUP COMPETITION RULES.
The competitions will be run as follows:
Dorset: Straight knockout. Wiltshire: 2 Division League Structure.
The rules of the Under 13 to Under 16 cup competition will be as follows:
- All games to be played under RFU regulations Regulation 15 - (U19 variations apply).
- Match durations:
- Under 13/14 25 Minutes each way
- Under 15 30 minutes each way
- Under 16 35 minutes each way
- If for any reason you know you will not be able to field a side, you must give 8 weeks notice, to the opposition and a new date agreed. (A fixture should be brought forward rather that put back.)
- Teams failing to play a scheduled fixture on the appointed date will be deemed to have lost that fixture by 50 playing points unless in extenuating circumstances where safety may be compromised (e.g. bad weather). Games will be played the following week unless consent has been given by the competition organisers.
- The team drawn at home to be responsible for arranging fixture, advising Referee society of changes to allocated fixture or arranging neutral referee if society cannot provide one.
- Home team to inform referee of the competition rules before the start of any game.
- Match officials and opposition coaches have the right to challenge age of players. In accordance with RFU regulation 15.2.2 team managers should have registration cards and a copy of any dispensations available at all matches.
- Teams to comprise 15 players, plus maximum 7 replacements.
- All players and replacements to be fully paid up youth playing members of the club they are representing and show on the RFU database as current registered Youth Players.
- Player must be registered with the RFU, at least the day before the day they play. However Only players who have played in at least one previous round or were registered at their club by 31st October of the current season are eligible to play at in the Final.
- Players may only represent one club in the competition.
- Players may only play out of age grade in line with RFU Regulation 15.1 – Age Grade & Dispensations. Additionally D&W RFU require any player at U14-U17 playing DOWN to have an assessment made by RDO (this is to ensure consistency).
- A completed D&W Clubs Match Card to be signed by the referee or opposition coach/team manager.
- For Wiltshire League Structure:
- Points will be awarded to teams for each match as follows:
- Win 4 pts.
- Draw 2 pts.
- Lose 1 pt.
- The winner of the competition will be the team to have accumulated the greatest number of points as above from their league games. If two teams finish level on points, at the top of the league, then the winner shall be decided based on the result of the game between those 2 teams. If that game was a draw, the away team will be declared the winner.
- For Dorset Knock Out Cup
- If a draw occurs in a semi-final or final, the away team will be declared the winner.
- If a draw occurs in a semi-final or final, on neutral ground, the team that scored the greatest number of tries. If still level the greatest number of conversions. If the teams are still level after try and conversion counts, the team that scored the first points, if no points scored the trophy will be shared, and the team to progress to the D&W play-off will be decided by the toss of a coin
- The completed D&W CLUBS MATCH CARD is to be sent to David Wookey, the D&W Youth Registrar. 3 Westland Close, Amesbury, Wiltshire, SP4 7QS. Or email to dwrfu.youthadmin@ntlworld.com by 10 AM on the Thursday following the match
- If any players are not on the current RFU registration list for the club:
- (Wilts) the team will be deducted 1 point per player (If offence repeated, the next game will be forfeited) or;
- (Dorset) the team will forfeit the game.
