WHO SHOULD BE NOMINATED ?
Dorset&Wilts RFU is committed to providing playing opportunities
for all players with potential to play at County level.
It is recognised that players develop at different rates,
with some players showing huge talent from an early age
and others developing later.
The County selection process is about finding the best players
to put forward to the County teams, with some going on
to play for the SW Region at U16 & U18,
and others playing for England at those age groups.
In recent seasons several D&W players have been selected
for both England U16’s & U18’s – a fantastic achievement.
Many other players are picked up by the regional RFU Academies
that are linked to certain clubs – for Dorset & Wilts, this is Bath RFC.
For all Age Groups we seek your support by asking you to select
only players with proven or demonstrable potential
as your club nominations
and ask you to abide strictly by the limits on numbers given below.
This will result in better quality player development
and in the right players being identified
for the right representative teams.
