Rugby Football Foundation Downloads
Update from Dave Stubley June 2011:
1) The Rugby Football Foundation will be launching a small grant ‘Helping Hand Grant’ available from July which can provide matched funding between £500 and £1499 using an abbreviated form from the Groundmatch grant – please see attached. This has been launched to assist clubs that have small projects that need doing at clubs but are under the current limit of £3000. I attach the application form for your perusal.
2) Rugby Football Foundation Groundmatch grants up to £5000 are still available and with a new financial year starting July please remind clubs that have an applicable project www.rf.com/rff/
3) Remember that there is a potential mechanism for dealing with clubs that find themselves in an emergency situation – fire, flooding etc – I would ask that any information that arises is fed through to myself to ensure that help and possible financial assistance can be acted upon as quickly as possible.
4) I attach some information that has been put together by Marsh Insurance regarding a deal for rugby clubs that covers Buildings and Contents Insurance that might be worth clubs investigating and comparing with their current deals. I also flag this specifically as there has been some confusion that the RFU insurance covers Buildings and Contents – which it does not and it would be worth reminding clubs that this is the case.
5) A reminder about the Protecting Playing Fields Funding that has been launched by Sport England and will run until 2013 which can potentially see grants of up to £50k being applied for pitch projects

6) As follow up to this Sport England will also be launching an Inspired Facility programme that will again offer up to £50k grant funding towards floodlights, modernisation of facilities, refurbishments and extensions.
