Prop Idol is back in Dorset and Wilts this October at 4 venues. The emphasis continues to be to develop the potential next generation of School, Club, and Representative forwards (and their coaches) both in terms of safety and performance.
This is primarily aimed at all forwards and develops key contact techniques relevant to any position (even wingers).
We are hosting events for U13 and U14 boys and U15 girls.
The evenings will again be run on a split Coaching Session/Competition basis, with delivery led by Dorset and Wiltshire’s Community Coaching Staff Alan Low and Dave Wilson. They will be supported by groups of Front Row mentors that are currently being trained in order to take these techniques back into the Club and School youth game.
County coaches and local referees have reported a significant improvement in the safety and execution of scrums and breakdowns from clubs that sent multiple representatives on the program last year.
