Results of Dorset and Wiltshire under 16 trials held at Bryanston and Dauntseys on 18th September 200l
Could I thank all players who participated in the trials yesterday. There were a very large number of nominations and as a result there were inevitable delays in registration and difficulties in giving players sufficient playing time to enable the selectors to make their decisions. However I am delighted that the selectors were able to conduct a professional and impartial trial at each location. I would like to offer my thanks to these individuals many of whom had to take holiday from work to participate.
From the 150 players nominated it was a difficult task selecting the 40 or so that will be invited to go through to the final trials. If you are not amongst the names below please don’t be too disappointed, the standard was very high and your rugby ability has already been recognised having achieved nomination by your school or club.

In addition a few other players who through injury were unable to participate in the first trial but nevertheless still showed commitment by turning up may be invited to attend. This is entirely at the discretion of the coaching team and the individuals concerned will be notified by personal letter or email.
The final trial takes place at Bryanston School on 30th September directions can be found at http://www.bryanston.co.uk/contacts/directions.html Please arrive for registration at 10.00, meet at the Pavilion. You should expect to be finished by 16.00. The format of the trials will be explained when you arrive.
You should wear training clothes suitable to play in a match, shirts will be provided. Don’t forget your mouth guard. Please bring sufficient drinks a packed lunch and extra clothing in case of inclement weather.
