In a much tighter game between the A sides, Devon scored a try after five minutes (0-5). D&W responded with a Chris Nicholas penalty after twenty minutes (3-5), but Devon scored a converted try straight from the restart (3-12). That remained the score at half time.
Following three changes, D&W exerted most of the pressure on the Devon line without ever crossing it, but then let in two converted tries in the last two minutes of the game to leave Devon the winners with a falsely flattering score-line of 3-26.
Stand-out performances from Seb Culpan-Scott and Tom Dunn on his U15s debut match were out highlights.
