Vice Presidents
As with most rugby clubs, once you get too old to play if you are lucky you are invited to become a VP, which means putting your hand in your pocket to help fund the club, supporting the playing members on match days, perhaps assisting with the administration of the club & generally "putting something back in" as the phrase goes.
At Cranleigh RFC we are extremely fortunate to have a fine body of extremely loyal & generous VPs, lead by the ernstwhile Robin Williams who acts as their Secretary, organises their lunches before every home league game & represents the interests of this most important section of the Club on the main Committee.
VP Lunches
Robin organises one of these before each home league match; the dates for 2007/08 are as follows:
- Saturday 29th September 2007 - Battersea Ironsides
- Saturday 27th October 2007 - London Exiles
- Saturday 10th November 2007 - Old Caterhamians
- Saturday 1st December 2007 - Croydon
- Saturday 5th January 2008 - Old Alleynians
- Saturday 26th January 2008 - Kingston
- Saturday 16th February 2008 - Old Whitgiftians
- Saturday 8th March 2008 - Old Amplefordians
- Saturday 29th March 2008 - Old Freemans

Delicous home cooked food, prepared by our talented volunteer chefs, all washed down with a nice bottle of house wine, a beer or two, or perhaps both!

VPs & Volunteers
As with many valued volunteers Robin's work goes largely unnoticed by the majority who benefit from it without even realising it. Likewise the vital funding & support provided by VPs is often unappreciated, but such is the lot of a rugby club volunteer. New mugs are always most welcome!
