UNDER EIGHT’S
So far this season we have a select group of players. This has had its pros and cons, as was displayed at The Guildford Festival. A tired team just missed out on the finals. This was repeated a few weeks later at the Guildfordians ground.
An even smaller group attended the Harlequins tournament where again we started very well but finished tired (& a bit tetchy!) This was to be a memorable weekend, as the next day there was training at Cowdray Park to play Midhurst & Eastboune. Unfortunately the weather at Midhurst nearly froze us to the spot!
The commitment of this smaller group has had its rewards; they have come on in leaps & bounds. New friendships have been forged…both on & off the field! The question I am constantly facing is ‘when are we doing contact?’
As a result the tackle bags came out last week and were met with great enthusiasm and noise - thank you Megan!
I would like to thank all the players, most especially the diehards, Charlie, Seb, Tom, Thomas, Megan, Freddie, Owen & Barney. Less regular attendees Felix, James, Jack & Fraser have also improved enormously.
