U17s Lose At The Death
In a hastily arranged friendly Cranleigh's U17s were unfortunate to lose to a Haslemere side featuring a number of players loaned by their hosts when they conceded a last minute try, as well as a hotly disputed penatly try awarded by home referee Ray Warren who was left to drink on his own in the bar afterwards (only kidding!)
Old Alleynian 54 - 9 Cranleigh
Another tough day for the 1st XV. Report now on 1st XV page.
24th/25th November 2007
On Saturday the 1st XV are at Dulwich playing Old Alleynians in the league, whilst the 2nd at at home on the upper pitch versus "local" rivals Old Cranleighans. The Vets are away at Farnham. As always support for all of our teams will of course be most appreciated, both pitchside & back in the clubhouse bar afterwards too of course!
On Sunday the U17s play Haslemere at home, again on the upper pitch, whilst the U13s travel to Haywards Heath & the U15s to Dorking. Please note that the U14s scheduled home game against Cobham has been cancelled. The Minis & the rest of the Juniors are training at home. Again please support our teams & the bar too.
U16s Come From Behind To Triumph At Weybridge
Not for the first time this season the U16s turned around a halftime deficit as playing with the wind in the second half they blitzed a shocked Weybridge side with 3 quick converted tries after the interval to eventually run out 21-13 winners in a hard fought league match, leaving them lying 2nd in the table as they approach Christmas.
Minis Triumph @ Midhurst
U11s unlucky to lose to hosts but beat Eastbourne convincingly at Cowdray Ruins. See U11s page for full report.
Eastleigh 15 - 0 Cranleigh
Cranleigh journeyed to Hampshire hoping for a win but were destined to return home a disappointed side. Unfortunately there's no match report for this game.
17th/18th November 2007
This weekend sees the 1st XV going to Eastleigh for a 4th Round RFU EDF Energy Junior Vase tie, whilst Will Davies "Eagles" have a well deserved weekend off as they look down from the top of their merit table; the Vets are at home to Pulborough & will be playing on the Upper pitch over the road if you want to watch them win! On Sunday the Minis travel to Midhurst, whilst the U15s play a home league game against Old Reigatians, again on the Upper pitch. The U16s are also on the road in league action at Weybridge Vandals, with the U18s playing a friendly match at Effingham, so as ever it's a busy weekend. Good luck!

Cranes were disappointed to loose a match they thought was in the bag. See 1st XV page for a full match report.

The score line is perhaps a poor reflection of a Cranes team that put their bodies on the line & fought a highly competitive match. See 1st XV page for a match report.
Cranleigh 5 - 20 London Exiles
Another frustrating result for the Cranes against long time opponents London Exiles. See 1st XV page for a match report.
Old Whitgiftians 30 - 0 Cranleigh

Last weekend a select collection of club members travelled to France to support England vs Samoa in the RWC 2007. Thanks to Rob Wheeler & England Rugby Travel for organising such a splendid trip, the details of which must remain "on tour" as rugby tradition dictates. A trip to Cyprus, possibly at Easter 2008 is now being planned - see Rob for details.
