WASPS BEER FESTIVAL!
The inaugural Festival will be held on the 10th & 11th September 2011 and we invite everyone to get involved and join in the fun!
The aim of the Festival is to raise funds for the Great North Air Ambulance, whose main mission is to help those unfortunate individuals who are either seriously ill or injured to receive the best possible treatment in the shortest possible time. We are also raising funds for Cockermouth RUFC, which was formed in 1878. The club boasts a very strong senior team and one of the county's biggest mini/midi and youth sections, which plays a vital role in our community. The funds raised will go towards acquiring more equipment and running county youth tournaments at the club.
There will be around 30 beers, lagers and ciders, many of them champions, from around the country, quality soft drinks and wines will also be on offer. On Saturday there will be a curry night and on Sunday a hog roast!
The Festival will be open from 1pm - midnight on Saturday 10th and 1pm - 11pm on Sunday 11th.
