Game 1 Cockermouth 6 - Penrith 2
On a chill morning the first game was hard fought with good attacks from Penrith. Cockermouth responded with dogged defence from Kieran and Bradley Smith. Close support was given, by Luke Armstrong, Scott Glaister and John Irving and sparkling runs from Ryan Scott (4 tries) and Jonathan Meeks (2 tries) saw a win for Cockermouth.
Game 2 Cockermouth 11 - Penrith 8
The second game saw a new side relish the chance to run. The ball was shared throughout with good communication and passing skills. There were tries for Harry Bibby 3, Luke Bell 2, Matthew Shepherd 1, Declan Thompson 1, John Irving 1, Megan Ford 1, Declan Moore 1 and consistent solid tagging from Ella Skilbeck and Matthew Bell.
