Cockermouth vs Egremont

A fast paced, evenly matched game played in an exciting end to end fashion on a beautiful sunny day. Both teams having some very skilled young players who produced a good display of tag rugby. Harry Bibby and Jonathon Meakes both played really well and scored all Cockermouth's tries between them, with lots of good runs from all the Cockermouth team. Both sides scored some excellent tries and showed good discipline and ability in both attack and defence.
Another good game, but unfortunately for Cockermouth their lack of experience showed. The team all tried, but with most of last seasons players moving up to Under 8's they struggled to make their mark on the game. Some good runs and a positive start to a new season with lots of new players turning out for the squad. With lots of enthusiasm on show and willingness to try, there's plenty of hope for future games.
