Courses and Workshops 2008-9
Detailed below you will find all the latest opportunities from the RFU and from Cumbria RFU. Most of the courses or workshops will be suitable for existing coaches or those wishing to start coaching at the club. Some of the details will be suitable for those wishing to begin refereeing the game or further there knowledge in particular areas whilst some will be suitable for parents who are after a better understanding of aspects of the game.

Do it Right... Be Rugby Ready
FOR PLAYERS, COACHES AND REFEREES OR PARENTS. .
Rugby Ready is a powerful online resource that you can register to use for free! With an emphasis on strength and safety, it teaches you to respect yourself and the game so you can gain maximum enjoyment from it. The self-assessment programme includes 17 good-practice modules covering:
This is an excellent online introduction to all aspects of the game and is ideal for players, those wishing to start coaching or refereeing, parents who are willing to help out on a Sunday morning or those who want a better understanding of the game of Rugby union.
Once registered you can work through the modules at your own pace and succesful completion will allow you to print a Rugby Ready certificate.
Please note that you will need your Rugby Ready certificate in order to enter the Level 1 Coaching course.

Cost per person - £100 (inc. V.A.T.). Cheques payable to RFD ltd. and must accompany the application.
Applications will only be accepted if accompanied by the applicants IRB Rugby Ready certificate.
Courses will be limited to 32 candidates.
