Coaching at Cockermouth We are proud to have a good set of coaches at Cockermouth that enables us to give players of all ages an opportunity to play rugby. We provide the opportunity for our coaches to attain RFU qualifications relavent to the ages they are coaching as well as keeping coaches informed of other courses and clinics that are made available by Cumbria RFU. This ongoing coach development enables more skills to be passed on to our players and makes the coaches role more enjoyable. Our coaches include past players who want to give something back to the game as well as parents who just want to help their kids enjoy their rugby. We also have a small but dedicated band of parent helpers who assist our coaches in providing rugby opportunities for our players and who have a good time in the process. With just under 190 players across all age groups we are always looking for more volunteers and coaches. To maintain the level of coaching provision we are aiming for 4 coaches and helpers per age group (to cover shifts , illness etc.).
