On a cold but Sunny day the match was a close fought battle between two excellent teams. Both sides played well and showed plenty of pace, but Cockermouth eventually won through with a score of 7 tries to 4. The try scorers for Cockermouth were Jonathan Meeks, Lloyd Benn, Grant Seward, Seamus Hutton & Harry Bibby (3). Spectators from both sides agreed that this had been a very enjoyable match.
Under 7's
Cockermouth U7's were up next and provided another excellent game in an equally matched contest. After some good fast plays from both sides Aspatria just edged ahead winning the match with a score of 6 tries to 5. Cockermouth’s' tries were scored by Ciaran Poultney, Fin Hutton, Ben Irving & Jack Lewis (2).
