New players are always welcome at Camborne Rugby Club whatever age or experience.
-
Camborne RFC run three senior teams, the Chiefs and 2nd and 3rd teams.
-
Training is normally on a Tuesday and Thursday evening.
-
For details on playing senior rugby and training times please contact head coach - Steve Larkins or any club official who will be happy to help.
-
Apart from the senior teams, we run vibrant Mini-Junior and Colts sections. Camborne Colts were formed in 1948 and have proved to be the lifeblood of the club, having produced many fine players over the years who have progressed through to the senior ranks.
-
Colts rugby is for players under 18 (on the 1st September) and we play friendly and cup matches.
-
As with the Colts, Camborne RFC see the Mini-Juniors as a vital section of the club. Mini rugby starts at under 7 with tag rugby and physical contact is introduced in stages through the age groups. At Junior level the full 15 a side game is introduced although the rules are modified on line out and scrums to ensure as safe an environment as possible.
-
Games are played around Cornwall culminating with an end of season festival for the Mini sides, whilst the Juniors have knock out cup competitions.
-
The Mini-Juniors is a very popular section bringing parents and children of the area together. We teach children game skills, team values and develop a sense of pride in the town and amenities. All youth activities are supervised by a child protection officer.
