For Boys & Girls
Tag Rugby
If you are six, seven or eight years old (in year 1, 2, or 3 at school), you are old enough to play tag rugby at Burnley Rugby Club.
Playing tag is fast, furious, non-contact and tons of fun! You learn skills like catching, evasion, passing and throwing the ball.
Mini Rugby
If you are eight, nine or ten (in year 4 or 5 at school), you are old enough to play mini rugby at your Burnley Rugby Club.
Mini rugby is the next stop up from tag rugby, which you may have played when you were younger. Tagging is no longer used, but instead you learn skills like basic tackling, basic scrummaging and basic lineouts. Mini rugby will help you get prepared for th next step which is Midi rugby, and help get you ready for playing rugby as an adult!
Just like tag, mini rugby is loads of fun!
Midi Rugby
If you are ten, eleven or twelve years old, you are old enough to play midi rugby at Burnley Rugby Club. Midi rugby is the last stage before you play 15-a-side rugby on a full size pitch and a full size rugby ball!
Midi rugby will help you to perfect all the skills required to play rugby - catching, throwing, tackling and kicking. It doesn't matter if you haven't played before, but if you have played tag or mini rugby before, it will give you a chance to build on the skills you've learnt so far.
Playing midi rugby is loads of fun, but it's only fun if you know all the rules.
Get Involved! - come along any Sunday and see both boys & girls having fun! You can join in or just watch!
