48 boys are selected for next season's U14 Buckinghamshire County rugby squad.
Jerry Bignell, Head Coach, U14s Buckinghamshire said "we had 99 boys trialling for a county place and we were delighted with the high
quality of rugby we saw. The independent assessors have selected 48 players to be in the 2009/10 county squad and we wish all the players well for the new season. For every boy who was unsuccessful this time, I do encourage you to keep enjoying your rugby and remember that the door is always open and we will continuously be on the look out for rugby talent during the season" Jerry added " a huge thank you must go to the School Coaches and Club Coaches for nominating their players and in many cases in preparing the boys for the trials -thank you."
On 5 July, a U14 county rugby trial took place for 99 nominated players from local Schools and Clubs. In the brilliant sunshine, the players went through drills and matches to be assessed for a county place. After careful consideration, 48 players have been offered a place in the county squad. U14 county training will take place in the Autumn and then in 2010 a few matches against other counties will be played.
