BOLTON U15’s 24 V 5 ALDWINIANS
With the last meeting between the two sides taking place at Avenue Street
way back on Nov 26th in which Bolton won 22-12 in a tough encounter, this
being the last game of the season and Bolton losing home advantage having skipper Knibb and Greenwood out with injuries, another bruising game was on the cards.
FIRST HALF
Bolton started the game playing up hill and into the sun received the ball
from ko and put into place a solid rucking game ending with Nathen (ten men )Lewin scoring in the corner for a great team try 5-0
The second try of the game came from the on fire Seb (silent assassin)Stevens latching on to a great ball from Bobby(the bullit) Bolton
10-0.
Bolton were now running the show and stand in skipper Crimmins did a Dawson like snipe from the base of a scrum to score leaving the opposition pack in his wake, converting his own try 17-0
Bolton didn’t have it all their own way and a great move from the Aldwinians
backs put the right wing in space with only the fullback to beat ,but this
was no ordinary full back and the silent assassin steamed across the pitch
and bounced the winger into the crowd knocking over one of the home teams parents.
SECOND HALF
The home team came out determined and defended like their lives depended on it making it hard for the away team to put points on the board,Bolton plugged at it with Greg (the eagle)bird and Declan(pocket rocket)Hampson entering the field got their rewards with Stevens crossing for his second converted by Crimmdog 24-0
A mixture of showboating and a solid home defence had Aldwinians fullback crossing for a great solo try game ending 24-5

BOLTON U15’s 30* V 7 ECCLES
With Bolton’s last game a loss in the final of the Lancs plate a pick me up
was needed to put the team back on the right track, with mid-week training
being more of a wind down to the end of the season ,but as always well
attended with 17 players this week’s game was eagerly anticipated, but with
Boltons skipper not playing due to having his nose repositioned on the
monday and their stand off still recovering from knee ligament damage ,a
rejigging of the back line was needed.
The home side ripped into the opposition from the kick off with a message
for the visitors that they wanted the win, with Andy Crimmins at his best directing play and Rhys Pritchard doing an excellent job as a substitute 10
Bolton put in a season’s best performance with Seb Stevens crossing for three tries and Rhys Pritchard,Nick Grimshaw and Bobby Bolton also getting one each the half time score after Andy Crimmins converted four of the six tries was 30*-7.
The second half continued as the first had ended with the awesome man of the match Oli Pritchard getting on the score sheet with a couple and
Rhys Pritchard adding to his tally with another also converting two
of the three in the absence of the injured Crimmins the game ended 30*-7
A memorable moment in the second half was tackle of the game winner
Josh Hughes Boom timing Eccles biggest player, with Bolton’s skipper off the field the honour went to Josh Coates and lived up to his name with another great performance to get the Coach’s award.

VASE Final
Manchester U15's 31 v 7 Bolton U15's
With Bolton's U15's losing thier no10,2 and 14 from a small squad of 19 due
to the final being played on an easter weekend, they were as it was," up
against it!"Hard work in mid week and a new back formation put in place,
hopes were high.
Five minutes in and skipper Scott Knibb double tackling a player with new 10 Rhys Pritchard ,Rhys's head collided at a rate of knots with Scott's nose,
the result being Scott's nose ending at rest on his left cheek,he will now
be known as Ricky Hatton.
Bolton's heads dropped and without Boom time Hatton on the field they
struggled against a much bigger pack who also losing 3 players through
easter holidays still had 9 subs available and used these effectiveley
through the game Bolton losing 31-7 with Bobby bolton getting Bolton's
points ,and as a coach i'm proud of every one of my players and Gareth
Liles who never gave up and battled to the end.
A special mention goes to all who supported the U15's especially as
Manchester had 3 teams on the day in final's and Bolton's support out
cheered them ,well done!and we'll see you next year.

Bolton U15’s V’s Blackpool
Bolton’s U15’s being the Lancs vase reigning champs improved on last year
with great league results, getting themselves into the more prestigious
plate competition, with a quarter final win over Vale of lune Bolton’s only
obstacle into the final being this week’s opponent’s Blackpool.
Bolton’s weather was non welcoming to both teams with a combination of sleet
,rain and strong gusts of wind, but the home side adapted and set off like a
freight train ripping into the away teams ranks after only 5 minutes the
inform Seb stevens after a booming tackle from skipper Scott Knibb which
dislodged the ball from Blackpool’s largest player and Seb scooped up to
score,Andy Crimmins not having his kicking tee showed great composure by
drop kicking it.
This pressure never eased on Blackpool and with further scores from
Stevens,Rhys Pritchard,Knibb and Lewin ,Bolton won the game more
convincingly than anyone would have predicted.
Bolton didn’t have it all their own way but with bone crunching tackles
being dished out from every player Blackpool’s possession soon became turned
over ball and another scoring opportunity for Bolton,in two weeks time
Bolton compete at Broughton Park for the title of Lancashire plate
Champions.
Huge thanks go to everybody who got out of their warm houses to stand and
support the U15’s,especially Gaz (syndrome )Pritchard for being coach’s
assistant.

Bolton 14 V 32 Sedgeley Park
On the weekend before Bolton U15’s semi final encounter at home v’s Blackpool ,Bolton lost two players including the home teams skipper on
Lancashire duty, and with two further players unavailable to play, had the
home team down to a bare minimum 16 players ,this combined with Bolton never
having registered a score against today’s opposition ,a very tough encounter
was anticipated.
Bolton received the ball from the kickoff and 2 minutes later the away team
turned over the ball and went in under the posts converted 0-7.
A rallying call from stand in skipper Greenwood and a grittier display
followed, but with Bolton’s pack coming out second best in the contact areas
Sedgeley scored twice more both unconverted 0-17,
HALF TIME
Great pressure from the kickoff had the away team in all sorts of
problems, with a move practised on the wed nights had in form Seb Stevens
crossing under the posts converted by Andy Crimmins 7-17
Sedgeley getting another score unconverted7-22
That man again Seb Stevens pouncing on a booming tackle from Rhys Pritchard
ran in from the half way line to score albeit for pride only,Crimmins also
converting 14-22.
Even with Rhys Pritchard and Nathen Lewin playing out of their skins the
away team crossed for two more scores.14-32
With every team having a bad game at sometime Bolton’s support are hoping
next week will see the usual U15’s pack turn out .
Man of the match------Rhys Pritchard
Tackle of the game ----Matt Trist

Bolton 10 v Vale of Lune 5
Bolton's U15's never having a fixture against their Quarter-final opponents so the only info on Vale of Lune coming from the U14's and a bit of digging from Dave Grimshaw ,Vale apparently don't like the big hits and strong rucking ,so be it,that's the plan then.
Bolton's U15's received the ball and rucked the ball back up field, this for the next 20 minutes was the only positive point about the home teams play with passes dropped balls knocked on, but no missed tackles ,this kept Bolton camped in Vales half but with possession being turned over frequently by both sides ,such a turn over from V.O.L and a kick and hope over the top
the usually unflappable Seb Stevens at 15 made his first mistake of the season and like any good side VOL pounced to score 0-5
After a much needed chat from the coach the next 10 minutes had Bolton stringing together some plays from which Seb Stevens scored unconverted the half ended 5-5
SECOND HALF
In this half as the booming tackles went in all over the pitch ,especially with fresh legs from the home teams strong bench the away teams resolve became fractious and one such moment had VOL no 8 placing a boot on the head of Bolton's skipper,Knibb,he was sent off the field ,but this seemed to strengthen the away teams morale and tackled their hearts out ,but the continued pressure on VOL try line they had to buckle, and did with Nick Grimshaw crashing over unconverted 10-5 the remaining three minutes and Bolton switched off, but soaked up the pressure to end victorious ,the territory and possession Bolton had should have made lighter work of this fixture but a wins a win so roll on the semi-finals.
Man of the match---Seb Stevens
coach's award--------Josh Hughes
tackle of the game--Nathen Lewin
Huge thanks to Yvonne Greer for the new team socks and as always the support
who must of numbered 40.

BOLTON U15’S 36 VS 0 LEIGH U15’S
With Oli Pritchard and Greg Bird away on half term hols plus the dynamic duo
of Scott Knibb and Bobby Bolton playing for Lancashire on Monday,an
altogether new line up was selected for the trip to Hand lane Leigh, with the
last encounter on the 1st-Oct-06 seeing Bolton win at home 19-7 ,with
Wednesday night’s training being well attended and last week’s guest
scrummage session from John and Garry Hodge, this game was a chance to see if
the coaching had stuck.
FIRST HALF
Bolton’s u15’s receiving the ball and settling early into the quick ruck and
scoop ball play that has proved successful in the past few games ,once deep
into Leigh’s 22 and a back move practiced on Wednesday night had Nathen
Lewin crossing the line inbetween the sticks ,crimmins converting 7-0
Bolton now gaining in confidence attacked at will and the full repetoire of
moves came out,one such move combined with with great feet to stand up his
would be tackler and Rhys Pritchard scored ,Crimmin’s again converting 14-0
This became the script for the remaining of the half and more dynamic set up
play from the now dominating Bolton pack and try machine Seb Stevens crossed
for the away team’s third try unconverted the first half over 19-0
SECOND HALF
The second half followed the same pattern as the first with Bolton not
exactly having their own way but with a scrum taking it’s 6th ball against
the head soon had pressure turned into an attack opportunity with George
Wass ,Seb Stevens and rhysybabee Pritchard crossing for scores,Crimmins
converting Rhys Pritchards with 15 minutes of the game remaining Scott and
Bobby entered the game for a stretching of the legs and the second half
ended 36-0
Tackle of the game---Adam Greenwood
Man of the match---Rhys Pritchard
Parents award----to all the forwards
Good luck from the U15’s collective goes to Scott and Bobby in their
Lancashire games .
BOLTON U15s Vs LIVERPOOL COLLEGIATE U15s
In the simplist terms todays opponents for the Bolton U15 squad are the best
they have faced this season and are the runaway leaders of the league,This
not being a secret to Bolton, the coach had a lot of work to get the mind
set of his team right.
Calls were made, messages left on computers and the right starting line up
selected the rest was up to the player’s .
FIRST HALF
The first half started with Bolton receiving the kick off and set up the
first ruck of the game ,two more pick up and goes and Bolton were in the
opposition danger area, but Bolton had a drop in concentration and ended back
in their own 22 with Collegiate showing why they are top of the table with
offloads in the tackle to great support runners who eventually breached the
home teams try line.
This turned out to be a carbon copy of Collegiates next try ,but they didn’t
have it all their own way with bone shuddering tackles going in all over the
pitch especially from the dynamic centre duo of Bobby Bolton and Rhys
Pritchard,0-10 down with all to play for and 5 minutes later Adam Greenwood
Bolton’s ten gave the call for a move to send the ever improving and newest
member of the U15s squad over in the corner for a good try 5-10 GAME ON!!
Bolton’s crowd now had their vocal support turned up to max even without
their lead vocalist Sue Crimmins .
The rest of the half finished with Bolton under pressure and yielding to two
more scores, the kicker having a mare not converting 5-20.
SECOND HALF
Bolton’s coach decided to make a few tactical changes to combat the away
teams off-load in the tackle, and an enforced sub through injury and a
tactical one,had both subs
Taking part in the game the game now ebb and flowed with both teams showing
great commitment to win the game ,Collegiate pouncing on a slip to score the
only try of the half and the game ended
BOLTON U15s 5 --LIVERPOOL COLLEGIATE U15s25
With the game ended and every single one of the home team making their coach
the proudest man on the earth ,Bolton have now finished 3rd in the league 1
position higher than last year, and are looking forward to the Thursday draw
for the knockout stages.
HUGE thanks go to the U15s groupies and parents, not forgetting JP Hardman
the ref
Man of the match –all the squad( for stepping up a class )

BOLTON 30*---BURNLEY 0
Bolton u15's first game of 2007 was a league game at home against Burnley, after a lengthy lay off due to the xmas period the worry from a coach point of view is will the team perform or not?
With 14 players turning up for wed night training at Withins the session went well,so a good performance was hoped for.
Bolton's skipper lost the toss ,and this turned out to be the last time a Bolton player was on the losing end for the rest of the afternoon.
Burnley uncharacteristically being a small team boosted the hopes of the home
team.
A now trademark crimmins kick off recieve and pop to No6 Knibb to gallop up field a quick ruck and Bolton was dispensed to test the opposition No10s tackling another ruck and this time it was the bullits partner in crime red mist Pritchard to cross the line showing great feet to stand up the would be tacklers and breeze past.
Burnley showing great character pinning the home side in thier own 22,but this didn't stop the home team running in a further 4 tries (3 from Pritchard R,2 from Stevens )Pritchard converting all but one BOLTON 33---BURNLEY 0
You'd have thought from a coaches point of view everything was hunky dory but being honest Bolton playing good individually just didn't click as a team and spent long periods in their own territory but the away team never looking like they could win it and the second half continued as the first had ended,Hampson,Hardman and Trist entered the game to make their mark,Lancs player Bobby Bolton was first on the score sheet ,and not being out done Pritchard R getting the second in doing so picking up an injury he went off and Crimmins converted.
Seb Stevens picking up two more tries and one each from Nathen 10 men
Lewin and George System Wass ,Crimmins converting two of the four,Job
done!!
Next week sees Bolton travelling to St Helens to take on West Park.

Sefton 10 v Bolton U15's 12
With special thanks to Josh Hughes,
Bolton started with two of their front row missing, Hughes through injury and Gaskell having a prior engagement in Paris watching Sale!!
Bolton Kicked off on a windy and rain swept pitch facing Sefton who desperately wanted to play us, so our coach told us to stick it to ‘em. It was a fairly even first 15 minutes with Bolton having the greater possession but gave away too much possession due to some awful refereeing decisions and some unusual poor handling, for once from the “not so Bullit” Bolton! Then
against the run of play a tremendous kick over the top from Crimmins, gave Sebastian Stevens the opportunity to score a tremendous try with a one handed pick up, to make it 5-0. Bolton then got pinned back in their own half . Then through all Sefton’s pressure, Bolton’s rock steady defence was finally broken from a dubious penalty, with the conversion missed, it made the score
5-5, at half time.
Again the pressure was on Bolton for the first 10 minutes of the second half as some slack work by Bolton kept giving the advantage back to Sefton. However, as solid as ever Greeny kicked down field to gain some territory.
Then from nowhere a turnover ball from a scrum gave Seb the opportunity to pounce on the mistake and run from Bolton’s own 22 down the pitch, out pacing Sefton’s own backs, to score under the posts, and helped by Crimmin’s conversion, Bolton were 12-5 up.
Scott Knibb was immense as usual in an unexpected position of prop. Through an excellent ankle tap on the Sefton Prop, the opposition took an instant dislike to this form of tackling thinking a kick, so decided to take the matter into there own hands. Unfortunately due to the hesitation of the referee, Adam Greenwood took a size 8 boot to the back of his neck whilst lying on the floor, this resulted in one of Sefton’s players being sent off. This seemed to give Sefton more hope, again assisted by the referee they piled on the pressure, and on the last play of the game they crossed the line and the referee gave the try, however, this came from an obvious double movement together with Crimmins clearly having his feet under the ball , the ref ignored these facts and gave the try. Justice was done when the stand off again missed the conversion and Bolton won 12-10.
A thoroughly enjoyable game, in awful conditions, marred by Sefton’s over physical style of play in the last quarter of the game. Special mention should be made to the excellent forward display by the whole pack who stood up and were all counted, in a physical game.

Ormskirk U15's 27 v Bolton U15's 22
Boltons U15s battling all odds showed great character in a narrow defeat to league leaders Ormskirk on the morning of the game two props had to cancel one due to injury and the other due to an illness to a relative, this added to Knibb and Bolton being at Ruskin Park plus Bird ,Holder and A.Hughes not available through injury travelled with a bare 15.
Boltons coach agreed to play three 20 minute periods with Ormskirk having 30 odd players to chose from, in the first 20 even though bolton scored two early tries playing uphill and into a ferocious wind lost 19-10
The second 20 started with teams swapping haves and Bolton playing with the advantage of the wind controlled the game and won
12-0
The third and last 20 started and Bolton showed again great character led by Crimmins in the absence of cpt Knibb, battled for every ball ,without the ability to kick to relieve pressure or substitutions they lost 8-0

Bolton U15s 21
Aldwinians U15s 12
After last weeks loss at Sedgeley Boltons U15s coach pressed upon the team the need to as it where get back on the bike, the last time the teams met was in the semi-finals of last years lancs plate in which Bolton won 27-22,so a
close game was anticipated.
Bolton recieving the kick off and executing the now trade mark return with Crimmins catching and feeding Knibb to crash the ball upfield,it was nip and tuck all the way untill 3 quick rucks from the pack ,and a move practiced by the backs on wed and Pritchard(red mist )used great feet to step his defender and was tackled just before Aldwinians line for Stevens (silent
assassin)to fall over him and score to which Crimmins converted 7-0.
The home team pressed with both backs and forwards playing out of their skins and Greenwood at ten mixing the angle of attack saw Bolton (the bullit ) crash over for the second try converted 14-0
HALF TIME
As Bolton play as a squad Gaskell,Mann,Trist,Hardman and new boy Alex Hughes replacing Hampson,Murphy,Coates,Wass and Lewin who had all played well,Greenwood now finding a weakness in the oppositions wing gave the call and kicked the next ball down his throat the charge by Pritchard,R,Bolton and Trist resulted in Bolton going over for his second and His sides third converted by Crimmins 21-0.
Bolton eased off the pedal and had their no6 sent off for a high tackle, enabling Aldwinians to find holes that had not appeard before and
scored twice one of these converted game ended a 21-12 win for Bolton.
Many thanks go to Mark Down who reffed the game, the Greers for setting out the pitch and as always our army of support, not forgetting the womens team who s loan of strip was thanked by the players who said its the best
smelling strip theyve worn.
A special thanks goes to Chris Lewin for not only being the team photographer but for the match programmes.

Eccles U15's 5 v 30* Bolton U15's
Boltons U15's next opponents were Eccles away, never has knibbys teams faced them.
With the team seeing the return of centre Rhys 'red mist' Pritchard, the morale of the team was upbeat and excited about the following 80 minutes.
Bolton in their newly sponsored black dress shirt and ties {thanks to Pete Kenyon}, already looked smarter than the home team 1-0 to us.
The game started with Bolton recieving, and a text book move with Andy Crimmins catching the ball and popping it to Capt Scott Knibb who ran it back upfield. Eccles wanting to spoil the party put on some great pressure, eventually scoring, unconverted the score 5-0. Bolton returning the compliment, pinned Eccles in their own 22 with some great phase play in the rucks, especially from Declan Hampson, Aron Greer and Rory Murphy. Scott Knibb smashed over the line like a bowling ball in a alley to score under the sticks.
The first of many great conversions left the score 5-7 to Bolton. Bolton now getting into gear and 'boom-timing' tackles being excecuted from every positio on the pitch, saw another try form the skipper in the corner. Unconverted 5-12.
The backs not wanting to be left out of the party scored through a great supporting role from full back Seb Stevens, beating five players on the way.
Evan the injury substitution of Nick Grimshaw for Matt Holder, didnt stop the momento, and Boltons inside centre {in superb form recently} Bobby Bolton, crossed the white wash to score just before half time, score 5-22.
The second half started as the last ten minutes of the first half ended.
Eccles, in frustration, barely staying on the legal side of play. Bolton kept their heads, and the great backs move worked out on the training sundays had Bobby Bolton crashing over for his second of the day. Crimmins converted 5-25 to Bolton. Not long after, with Bolton at top gear, saw Seb Stevens coross the line twice in ten minutes, both converted = 5-30*.
Bolton managed to keep their cool, despite the best effort from Eccles {who were now down to 14 men after an incident with a wingers foot, and Boltons N0 8'S head}!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
George Wass in only his second appearence BRUFC, stormed over the line to end the game, leaving the score 5-30* win to Bolton.
Eccles tasted their first loss of the season.
Men of the Match - All 18 players who kept their cool under severe duress.
Tackle of the Day - Andy Crimmins

BOLTON U15S 38 VS 24 WEST PARK U15S
With Boltons U15s struggling to field a full strength team with schools half

and injury to Dan Hardman,Greg Bird, and Rhys Pritchard a new sponsor of

performance.

13-Matt Holder (a back row)
14-James Mann (a second row)
15-Seb Stevens
16-George Wass ( New Player)
From the West park kick off, it was obvious to see that Bolton were more than up for it. Nathan Lewin {just back from injury} and Josh Coates, set the standard by making blistering runs and opening up the game for an eager Bolton side. Boltons forwards held there own in the scrum, and there good start was rewarded by an exeptional and deserved try by Nthan Lewin. With a convertion by the ever improving Andy Crimmins, Bolton lead 7-0.
Bolton carried on to over power and muscle there way into west parks 22, and Nick Grimshaw threw himself over the line for Boltons second try.
The first half ended 12-0 with outstanding performances by Andy Crimmins, Adam Greenwood and captain, Scott Knibb.
When the game restarted, Bolton carried on as they left off, pressurising the opposition, none more so than in the scrum. John Gaskell, using his experience and ability, tormented the opposite prop, making Bolton look the far better scrummagers. With west park failing to keep up, the hooker had to bow out, leaving West Park unable to contest the scrums {much more advantageous to the travelling side}.
With more pressure to come from the confident Bolton side, Scott Knibb set up Bobby Bolton for another well earned try. Another fantastic conversion from Crimmins followed to leave the score 19-0. West Park perked up with a spell of good play by their biggest palyer, No 21. He mullered his way through for West Parks first try of the day. Well converted, the score 19-7.
Bolton reacted by chasing every ball down, and this paid off when Matt Holder stole the ball from West Parks hand, and cheekily raced over the line for yet another try. Crimmins converted, the score 26-7.West Park, unwilling to admit defeat, challenged further and No 21 scored his second of the day. Converted, the score 26-14. Many fantastic tackles made by Adam Greenwood, Rory Murphy and Oli Pritcard convince the opposition that Bolton were not prepared to give up just yet. Big forward Nick Grimshaw ran through several men to again put Bolton just inches from the line. The game restarted and another smooth and accurate pass by crimmins set Nick Grimshaw up for a well deserved try.
Bolton not yet finished, showed more excellence from the backs, and Seb Stevens run the length of the pitch to score again. Crimmins again converted, and a short comeback try from West Parks No 21, with conversion left the final score 38-24.
