against their Cumbrian opposition. A solitary try was enough to give Kirkby the win and to finish the league in
the position above Bolton on points difference. Their final League position determines that Bolton will go thru into the First round of the Colts Plate competition with a Home game against the winners of Manchester vs Sedgley Park
Bolton v Eccles colts
The game started off with both teams trying to make the mark on the game from the first minute,we contained
their pressure and they contained our pressure. From the first scrum with the new lads John and Jack and one of
the under 16s Nick did well in the first scrum, then the forwards started to play, winning lineouts and rucks and
mauls which made the job easier for the backs.Three quarters into the game of the first half we started to run in
trys for fun and the new prop came off with a hurt arm, but in the wings we had a very good under 16s player to
step in Scott knibb. Half time was upon us and the coaches and manager told the lads to keep the pressure on.
The three subs came on at half time Hector,Will and Mason which made no difference to the game as we
carried on playing like we had done in the first half.Mason took a bad knock to his nose and had to come off and
the good spirits in the Eccles lads
kept playing throughout the game no matter what came their way.
The man of the match was awarded to Dave Cryer and the coaches player of the game went to Jack Cosgrove
the final score was Bolton 47 Eccles 0
