Belly  Colin Bell played
for Atherstone in the era of Batch and Clarke. Colin often pops down to
the club to chew the cud and to pass on his wealth of experience to the current
players (whether they like it or not .... none would argue with Colin!!!)

At least I can say that I have seen Tony play! He was one of the formidable pack that
included Bob `The Great White Shark' Greenaway! His self appointed title of The Salmon
(that is it was him who told me to describe him like this in the reports!) is
based on his ability to jump in the line outs. I can't remember actually witnessing a
salmon like leap but hey I see no harm in perpetuating the myth!
