'M' Division
The 'M' squad consists of over FIFTY police officers and police staff from the M1, M2 & M3 Operational Command Units, policing all of Coventry. The M is the most active of all the teams within West Midlands Police RFC, playing over 15 mid-week representative and tournament matches every season; nine of the squad are regulars in the force first team squad.
The team is on a high at the moment and recently reclaimed the Mark Woodhead Trophy from the clutches of the 'D' Division at the end of the season, 23 points to 20. Coventry Police XV also won the Don Robbins Shield in the mid-week Warwickshire RFU 20/20 tournament; and the Ryan Hunt Trophy by beating the F Division. Unfortunately the last game of the season was lost to Warwickshire Police by one point and the Lobley Trophy crossed the force borderline.
The 2009/2010 season fixtures are already confirmed, including away trips to RAF Shawbury, Pilgrims RFC, Derbyshire Police and City of London Police.
