18 March Swaffham AWAY at Ely
Swaffham u13's travelled to Ely for their last away game of the season, and put on a good display in very blustery conditions. After a few initial handling errors due to the wind Swaffham went ahead with Dominic Cordner scoring in the corner. Alec Payne made sure Ely didn't get on the score sheet with a couple of try saving tackles before Kurtis Law opened his account for Swaffham with a fine individual try. A third was added by Jordan Walker just before half time with Nic Cains scoring the conversion. Half time Swaffham 17 Ely 0. The second half started with Ely playing with the wind and they were looking to add points of their own but Swaffham lads had different ideas with Kurtis Law scoring following some good passing from the Swaffham backs, Nic Cains converting.Ely scored a try shortly after but as the game drew to a close and with Swaffhams forwards dominating the game Kurtis Law scored his hat-trick try with Nic Cains once again converting before he followed up with a try of his own.

18 Feb - Away to Lowestoft/Yarmouth
Swaffham got back to winning ways after last weeks defeat in the cup when they travelled down to Lowestoft/Great Yarmouth. After a difficult 5 mins Swaffham made the breakthrough with Dominic Cordner scoring in the corner.Lowestoft/Great Yarmouth hit back almost immediately by getting the ball over Swaffhams try line but unfortunately dropping the ball.Swaffham increased their lead before half time after a fine move by the backs finished off again by Dominic Cordner scoring his second try. Half time 10-0 to Swaffham.
As the second half started Lowestoft /Great Yarmouth continued to battle well but after some good play by Swaffhams forwards Ben Dawes scored under the posts. The spirited home team refused to give in when awarded a penalty they added 3 points of their own with a fine kick through the posts. As the game progressed towards full time Jordan Walker scored a fine individual try with Nic Cains converting. With full time looming a good spell of rucking and mauling in the corner Liam Wright crashed through Lowestoft/Great Yarmouth's defence to score Swaffhams 5th try once again Nic Cains converting.

11 Feb - Norfolk Cup Semi Final Swaffham V North Walsham
Swaffham u13s went out of the cup after a tough mornings rugby against a well drilled North Walsham side. For the first 10mins of the game Swaffham more than held their own but once North Walsham scored their first try and despite some strong tackling from the Swaffham lads in Particular Alec Payne, Nic Cains and Jake Bartholomew. The quick handling of North Walsham lads resulted in two more trys being scored before half time. As the second half started Swaffham carved out a few chances of their own with the forwards controlling more of the play. Unfortunately as the second half continued in horrible conditions the visitors turned up a gear and ran out deserved winners scoring 4 more trys and 1 conversion.

28 Jan 07 HOME to West Norfolk
Swaffham u13s saw their winning run end as they entertained West Norfolk in a very intense local derby. As the game started the visitors as expected tried to play their passing game but the game was soon being dictated by the forwards with Swaffham just edging it with good aggressive rucking and mauling.The Swaffham backs also upped their game and were unlucky not to score with the ball being held up halfway through the first half.Swaffham also had the ball over the try line just before half time but West Norfolk were let off the hook as the ball was dropped. West Norfolk capitalised on this and scored a try of their own with their only real chance of the half.With the second half going much the same as the first,West Norfolk scored with one of their few chances of the half and despite Swaffhams effort and commitment to try and get something out of the game at the final whistle West Norfolk came away with a hard fought victory.Final score Swaffham 0 West Norfolk 12
21 Jan 07 AWAY to Watton
Swaffhams u13s travelled to Watton for a game against Wattons up and coming team and continued their good form by winning their 3rd game in a row in blustery conditions. swaffham went ahead with Jordan Walker scoring under the posts, Swaffham doubled their score with Peter Bailey driving a few minutes later with Nic Cains converting. Watton refused to give in lightly and reduced the score with a fine try of their own. More good work from Swaffhams team resulted in Ben Hudson scoring in the corner and just before half time Liam Wright capped off a good first half display with his first try for the team Jordan Walker converting. In the second half Watton continued to battle hard and were rewarded with a fine individual try before Jordan Walker scored his second try of the game with Peter Bailey converting.

Norfolk Cup AWAY to Beccles
Having made the long trip down to Beccles for this cup game Swaffham soon got into the game and after a few initial handling errors they went ahead with Jordan Walker scoring and then converting 10mins into the game. This seemed to settle any pre match nerves and Swaffham went about winning the game in a very professional manner.Nic Caines doubled Swaffhams lead and then added a third try with Jordan Walker converting both.Swaffham continued to retain good possession of the ball with new lads Kurtis Law and James Newman being very strong with their fellow forwards. Another good move from the backs resulted in Jordan Walker scoring again just before half time. As the second half started Nic Cains crashed over for his hattrick, not wanting to be out done Jordan Walker battled through for his hattrick try before bringing his tally to four tries with a classic "run forest run"moment from his own 22 with James Brown converting. After a good display at scrum half Dominic Cordner scored Swaffhams last try of the game,Nic Cains bringing up the 50 point mark with a fine conversion.

Swaffham v Norwich
Playing their first home game of the season Swaffham entertained a lively Norwich team in a very enjoyable game.Swaffham starting the stronger they played most of the first half in the Norwich half. Despite Norwich defending strongly the deadlock was broken with Jordan Walker scoring our first try after some good work by a busy Ben Dawes. As the first half drew to a close and against the run of play Norwich scored their first try and with the conversion went in at half time leading 7-5. As the second half started Norwich began to take the game to Swaffham lads and within minutes had extended their lead by another 7 points. The Swaffham lads refused to let their heads drop and half way through the second half scored their second try with Jake Bartholomew stealing the ball from a Norwich line out. Unfortunately as the game drew to a close the Swaffham lads ran out of steam and the Norwich boys finished the game strongly scoring 2 more tries. Final score Swaffham10 Norwich 24
29 Oct 2006 Away to West Norfolk
Another away game for Swaffham u13's saw them travel the short distance to West Norfolk for their fourth away game in a row. As usual Swaffham were a little slow getting into the game and conceded two tries within the first 10 minutes, one being converted. The Swaffham boys started to get more just before half time and were unlucky to concede another try before the half time break.
As the second half got underway Swaffham seemed to pin West Norfolk back in their own half for long periods and were unlucky not to score following a few good breaks for the line. Against the run of play West Norfolk scored a fourth try a few minutes from the end of the game.

Beccles U13 0 - Swaffham U13 22
Swaffham under 13s found themselves on the road again for their third away match in as many weeks against Beccles. Swaffham played with two key players out due to injury. Liam Simpson with a broken nose sustained in last weeks victory over Watton and Callum Payne reverting to water boy/substitute due to a damaged toe. The Swaffham boys took some time to get into their game but after Jamie Parke scored after a good driving maul they never looked like losing against a spirited bunch of lads from Beccles. Half way through the first half Jordan Walker doubled the score by crashing though the Beccles defence from a 5mtr penalty, Jordan then added two more points by converting his own try. On the stroke of half time Dominic Cordner scored Swaffham’s third try following Ben Hudson’s 50 mtr run for the try line. In the second half Swaffham continued to play some excellent rugby with the backs spreading the ball the full width of the pitch and the forwards making hard yards with some good rucking and mauling. Swaffham’s last try of the game came from another driving maul with new lad Peter Bailey scoring his first try for Swaffham. Final score Beccles 0 Swaffham 22.
Watton U13 10 - Swaffham U13 45
Swaffham u13's made the short trip across to Watton to play a newly formed Watton team and both teams enjoyed a good mornings rugby.
In the first half Swaffham loaned Watton 4 of their new players and the game soon turned in Swaffhams favour with Dominic Cordner scoring well in the corner and shortly after Jordan Walker added a second using the full width of the pitch. Ben Dawes scored a nice solo try before both Dominic Cordner and Jordan Walker scored their second tries of the game. The first half finished with Liam Simpson scoring after a good move involving most of the backs.
At half time the teams changed players and Swaffhams new lads got their chance to impress.
Callum got on the score sheet with two good tries with Ben Dawes adding his second of the game.Watton contributed to the game with some good attacking rugby and were rewarded with two tries in the second half. A good days rugby was had by all.
Holt U13 - 32 V Swaffham U13 - 15
Travelling to Holt for their first game of the season Swaffham u13s started the game well and matched Holt for long periods of the first half although Holt scored two tries using the width of the pitch to their advantage. Towards the end of the half Swaffham came close to scoring after some good work by the forwards but unfortunately Holt scored their third try on the stroke of half time. As the second half got under way Swaffham showed good team sprit by getting back into the game with two tries scored by Jordan Walker. Swaffham now came more into the game as some of the new lads grew in confidence with new lad Callum coming close to scoring after some good rugby by the Swaffham backs. Holt scored one more try before Jordan Walker scored his third try of the match. The game finished with Holt scoring two more tries right at the final whistle but full credit to all the Swaffham boys for battling hard and never giving up. Final score Holt 32 Swaffham 15.
