STAFFORDSHIRE SCHOOLS of RUGBY 2007 -2008
The Staffordshire Schools of Rugby, a joint venture between the RFU, Staffordshire RU and Leicester Tigers, are seeking nominations from coaches and teachers for the intake of players for the 2007-8 season at u13, u14, u15 & u16 age groups. This process will replace the existing structure of County squads and will seek to develop the provision for “elite” rugby players or athletes with rugby potential within Staffordshire.
All players involved in the process will be offered continuous feedback from the Coaching Staff that has been appointed. Players may be added to the squads at appropriate times at the Centre Manager’s discretion. The centres will coach regularly and provide a core-coaching programme, which will be similar across the whole of England.
THE VISION
Develop a cohesive individualised approach that sets standards no other regional SoR programmes offer: Commit all stakeholders to innovation that serves our players needs across all aspects of training, conditioning, and personal development. People countywide and beyond should feel a passion and affinity with SoR achievements. Where, in two years the Staffordshire SoR is acknowledged as leading providers of player development support.
