Shrewsbury are one of 11 Midland rugby clubs to
have been awarded grants by the Rugby Football Foundation to enable them
to make ground improvements.
The Sundorne Castle outfit have
received £3,208 which is half of what it will cost them to upgrade their
pitch.
Shrewsbury will remain in Midlands Three West (North) next
season after the divisional line-ups were revealed this week.
They
will have just one local derby date to look forward to, against Ludlow,
with neither Bridgnorth nor Telford any longer in the same
division.
The new teams on Shrewsbury's fixture list are Burntwood,
Old Saltleians, Sandbach and Stourbridge Lions.
