SPONSORSHIP - CO-ORDINATOR
This person will be the contact point for sponsorship ideas, and information if you can contact people and get
sponsorship that will be great, I am not confident at doing this, and am already confused with the amount of
websites for kit, who to talk to, wht is needed and have no idea how to even go about
getting sponsors so want to leave it to someone who has the ability to follow any deals through.
TAG RUGBY
We will be playing Tag rugby which is a safe, non contact form of rugby, that still has lots of action and excitement.
I am looking forward to welcoming new players, as well as welcoming back any players who were in the under 7's
last season, and are still eligible to play under 7's this season.
REGISTRATION IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR PARENTS / PLAYERS
Registration will take place at the club on 7th September 2008, please bring the following with you
Payment of £35 for the first child and £30 for each additional child
1x passport size photo (you can take this your self and cut it down to size so it does not need to be done at a
photo booth)
Registration forms available nearer to the start of the season, These will be 3 fold A4 size NOT white forms
like we used Last year.
There will be NO training on the 7th, just admin and paperwork to complete so its all done BEFORE the season starts.
Hopefully then, coaches can then concentrate on actually coaching and less time on admin,
Please write childs name on back of photo, for easy id, when sticking on to registration cards, these will then be
laminated, after the rfu registration number has been written on.
SHIRTS
The club has moved over to a new style of kit, made by Canterbury, These are short sleve shirts, I think it would be better if
the under 7's stick to the old hoops style and therefore long sleeve shirts, this keeps the players warmer. It would be nice
to perhaps get some training tops etc instead of new shirts, to keep the players warm.
Plus If your child does not stay for long, as the weather does turn around October so rather than it being dry and warmer.
We are not being left out on this.
OTHER TRAINING NEWS
The under 7's will train by the club house as per last season, anyone under 6 is welcome but will train with Dan
Swar.
As always parents are welcome to help, however Any helpers are required to be CRB checked (enhanced) details
from me (Paul Sutton) during sessions.
MEALS
Meals are provided at the end of games. I need a volunteer to collect numbers of children for both home / away teams
and give this information to the catering staff so they know how much food to cook and how many children to expect.
WHAT TO BRING TO SESSIONS
You at least need the following for sessions
1. Rugby boots (and other footwear to put on after games),
2. Gum shield (these are inexpensive, while tag is non contact, bumps to occur so safety is important)
3. Water bottle
4 Change of clothes, as sometimes it can be very wet, /. cold, and its good to have something to change
into after a game.
HANDS / FACE NEED TO BE WASHED AND CLEAN BEFORE COLLECTING MEALS. THIS LOOKS GOOD ON BOTH
PLAYER AND THE CLUB.
