Welcome to the Oxfordshire Society of Rugby Football Referees (OSRFR) and the Oxfordshire Pool of Rugby Football Referees (OPRFR). Our aim is the continuous improvement of the quality of officiating by recruiting, training, advising, grading and appointing officials.
OSRFR members referee Adult, Colt and Junior matches at weekends, and those who have flexible jobs also referee University and School matches during the week. OPRFR members referee Junior matches on Sundays.
With 20 clubs, running an average of three senior teams and five junior teams each, 37 university student teams and 20 school teams, our 60 active referees are kept busy. We also have an active exchange programme with other counties.
But it is not all work and no play. The monthly meetings provide a regular vehicle for social activity as well as a basis for continuous training, and there is an annual dinner. The Society maintains strong links with clubs to ensure your visit is enjoyable, and the Max Seymour Trophy awarded to the club voted by referees as the best hosts for the season, is highly sought after |
