The Oxford English dictionary describes training thus:
training n. the act or process of teaching or learning a skill, discipline etc. (physical training). go into training begin physical training. in training 1 undergoing physical training. 2 physicallly fit as a result of this. out of training 1 no longer training. 2 physically unfit. training college a college or school for training esp. prospective teachers. training-ship a ship on which young people are taught seamanship etc.
Training takes place every Tuesday night at 6.45pm at Stade Wheats.
There will be no seamen present.
