Tour 2009-10
The Old Tiffs Rugby Tour destination is announced.
Once we have conquered Surrey 3 we are going to conquer.... MADRID
Warm weather, tapas, bars, bars, clubs, bars, clubs and more bars, a bit of rugby.... and more Senoritas than Paul Griffiths can shake his pasty white English stick at.
As you all know, destination is Madrid on Friday 16th April to Sunday 18th April 2010.
Griffiths has already learnt some key bedtime phrases, Gibbs is gearing up to be seeing red, Bungle already has his Tapas list, and I understand from Williams that there will be compulsory fancy dress involved at some point, so dust off those comedy troubadour trousers.
The basic details:
· Meet Friday morning at Victoria Station (time TBC) to take the Gatwick Express (if everyone takes the Gatwick express it will be half price)
· Fly out from Gatwick approx 9.30am Friday morning
· Check-in to hotel about 1pm followed by tour afternoon/night
· Saturday game against Spanish team followed by tour night
· Possibly a second game on Sunday followed by tour afternoon
· Arrive back 11.30pm Sunday evening
Basic costs per person:
Gatwick Express: £14.40
Return Flights: £118
Hotel: £41
These costs are obviously variable depending on when we book flights and rooms so the total Fenty will need from everyone as soon as possible will be £175. Anything left over will be added to the tour kitty.
What is needed from everyone who has confirmed:
· Book Friday 16th off from your work/ girlfriends / boyfriends / wives / whatever
· An email sent to Fenty from each of you, confirming your tour attendance and that you will (eventually) pay £175 to me to cover flight, train and hotel costs.
· As this is a large group and we have a definite timeframe, Fenty is keen to book flights and reserve the hotel before Xmas before prices go up and seats/rooms become unavailable.
· SO, Fenty needs either the full amount of £175 or £120 (for flights) paid into his account by Thursday 17th December to be able to purchase the plane tickets before Xmas – and an email confirming that you’ve transferred it.
If you cannot pay either of these amounts into my account by Thursday 17th December, please let Fenty know. Mr money bags, can cover for some people, but obviously not everyone!
