Old Tiffs 2nd XV vs Hammersmith & Fulham
Result: 14-7. Another W and extending our unbeaten run!!!
It was a family affair with 3 Suttons and 2 Heaths (with the other Heath playing for the ones).
Congrats to Paul for going over the try line twice and scoring one of them! And well done Ben Davies for playing the whole game having played 30 mins of the first game.
Great performance by the forwards against a much heavier pack and for holding their own in the unnecessary handbags moment with the big thick t**t playing number 1. Had Fenty been playing for us I am sure we would have had a few comments about that bloke's mum.
Some great performances by Tom Heath enjoyed some awesome crash balls and solid catching and sniping runs from Rob "grass cutter" Sutton.
Having gone one try down and listening to Danny's observation that all they had was running it around the fringes, we nailed them back and started winning ball and territory.
Our open running game eventually became a game of strategy and tactical penalty decisions (uncontested scrum, kick for the corner or three points? Anyone? Anyone?). All decisions were taken democratically following a kind of 15 man referendum and proved the difference between us and the less enlightened opposition.
Man of the match. Has to be Willsy for that outrageous game-clinching three pointer which bounced off the post and then the crossbar before bouncing neatly over and killing the game off.
100% record boys!!!
We are in danger of having a seriously enjoyable season.
Please try and get down and get more of your mates down whatever team you are asked to play for.
See you all in a few weeks when I am back from holiday.
Ted.
